If you like fortifications as much as me then this is the place for you. The fort originates from the 16th century, and was built on the heights above the harbour of Antibes by way of protection. Vauban redesigned the whole structure later in the 17th century, so that the fort is now a perfect example of defence against artillery, with its star-shaped design, bastions and ramparts
You have to go with excursion with guide in groupe. Interesting facts, nice panorama, perfect view to Vauban! Great!
Nice place to visit, also with kids.
Nice views from the top, reception very friendly and organised. We did the tour and our tour guide seemed very bored of her job and not very engaging. Disappointed as we had a chance to listen to another guide for a few minutes and he seemed so much more passionate. Could have been 5 stars but not with our guide.
