1 Greetings From Austin Mural

Changed my mind about waiting at the coffee shop next door for a couple enjoying their time selecting the right pastry; to meet a family taking their photos at the Austin's mural instead. They were kind to take our photo there too. After the photo, we meet Todd as a coincidence, the mural’s creator and more antiques signage in the shop. We thanked Tood for his hospitality and for sharing a view of the artwork’s work-in-process. Finished the visit to the Roadhouse Relics Art Gallery and Gifts, returning to the coffee shop to find the couple still making their mind about what to get. Thanks and nice to meet you Todd and “Hank” the dog. Wonderful job! 03/08/2021.

The reason I gave this four stars is because as cool as it was, it was closed to the public. As a tourist I was disappointed because I had heard so many great things about this park from a friend. Please dont close it off forever!

Awesome art supply store (focus's on street art - don't come here looking for brushes!) and gallery! They feature a rotating selection of local artists and they're always hosting fun and unique events. Also, don't sleep on their clothing line, it's insanely comfortable.

UNREAL. Local artist Josef Kristo. Tallest mural in Austin, 103 feet. Take tons of pictures! Impress your out of town guests! We’re so lucky to have such incredible street art right in our backyard

Well-kept and beautifully done mural - clean and spacious. ❤️ It faces the busy street, but they’re probably used to people coming up to take photos/selfies. It does have a phone holder to do timed photos and two big benches on both sides of the wall to sit at. It’s a tiny climb to get to the mural, but there are some side stairs you can take.

Love Lynnie, love the pugs, love the art and the vibe and the range of affordability. Lynnie really means it when she says Art for the People.

12 23rd Street Artist's Market

This eclectic outdoor market has remained in the same place with the same standard (local artists & craftspeople selling their own hand-made wares) since the 1970's. There are very few places left in Austin that can claim that lineage. The wide variety of artisans, their work and the price ranges ensure there's something for just about anyone at the 23rd Street Artists Market. I can't think of a place to find a more authentic Austin souvenir than strolling through. My favorite thing about 23rd Street is that it's never the same place twice (great photo ops & eateries all around too). Support your local artists and help Keep Austin Austin.

Stumbled upon this installation while exploring Austin and was not disappointed. I was introduced to the up and coming movement of Generative art and was given a hands on experience in the technology and software behind the art. Would highly recommend to everyone.

This place is absolutely incredible! This is a studio space for all artists in the Austin area (most of which have disabilities of some kind). The studio totally facilitates any of the artists needs as well as assist them in art shows etc. Many classes are available here and are free to the General Public. Check out this extraordinary studio right here in Austin.
I do my best to keep this list as up-to-date as possible. I last updated it in September 2024. If you know of a street art that should be on the list, let me know. Click here to contact me. Thanks!
