Reviews from visitors:
The room is old-street themed, which is quite interesting.
However the room is vulnerable to power trips, hence the heater and aircon may not work as ideal.
Price of the room is really a steal for it's location tho!
The room will be ideal for those who are renting the room only to sleep and wash up.
Would be great if the check in location can be closer to the room :)
Wonderful for what it is. A clean room with all the necessary tools to survive in the great neighborhood Bangrak of Bangkok. Room came with 1 twin bed and 1 king bed. Updated appliances included a Large fridge, microwave, aircon, toilet, and electric water heater. The owners are incredibly sweet and LOVE to help. They own an amazing affordable restaurant across the street. Don't expect Luxury but the quality/location will be worth more than you pay for. Located 10 mins from Surasak and Saphin Taksin BTS stations and Chao Phraya river. Walking distance to a couple of malls, Chinatown, The Lebua Hotel and The ShangriLa hotel. Good street food options, easy access to Asiatique and all Temples. There's also a bus station right outside the building. Room included a nice area out front for smoking.
I give it a 5/5 because Mac is an awesome host. The room is great and so neatly decorated. The bathroom is great and hot water is endless. Good place for the money. I will say the only thing is that the bed is hard.
Head to their cocktail bar if you have time. Great place called Enjoy BKK Bistro Bar 57/1 good place for beer and drinkery. One large bloody mary here makes that bed very soft. :)
We stayed here for two nights when we arrived in Bangkok, and again for another two nights ten days later after returning from Chiang Mai and prior to our trip back to Manila. We booked it via Airbnb.
We stayed on the ground floor of the property. It was located in a quiet alley, in an old apartment building that reminded me of similar old apartments in Manila.
Being in an old building, the room had problems common to such places, for example, a certain "old" smell, especially in the bathroom where it got a bit stinky, I think, from the drainage (which we also had to cover when not showering otherwise bugs would come out, or so warned our host). Otherwise, it was comfortable. We had three beds, one for each of us. The aircon was working properly and got quite cold in the early morning. There was a shower heater, and the owner provided us with free shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, roll of toilet paper and towels.
There were street eateries and restaurants nearby, as well as a couple of 7-eleven stores. We were walking distance to the train station which was very convenient as we took the train to get around a lot. Also walking distance to the pier, so we were able to take the boat going to Wat Arun and the Grand Palace.
Perfect hosts. Very well connected. Nice neighbourhood and not that may tourists .
