Reviews from visitors:
Beautiful basilica with chapel of the relics of San Nicola. A beautiful site to visit and explore the art work. Open to public for most of the day, it was easier than expected to access. No tickets required. There's a gift shop located outside but no public restrooms. Be mindful as it is located in the old city and some parking sharks will try to get you away from the parking spots. Easy to park along the water and free parking on Sundays.
The only church that combines russian orthodox and catholic faith. San Nicolas beings presents to the world, but is also the most important saint in Russia.
Very Ancient and beautiful church sacred for both Catholics and Orthodox Churches
Really interesting cathedeal and definitely worth a visit while in Bari. A local guide took us round the artwork and relics, telling us the history of at Nicolas and how some of the treasures ended up there. Head downstairs to the crypt for some lovely baroque architecture!
A must see if visiting Bari. The Basilica of San Nicola is one of the most important and beautiful example of Apulian romanic architecture. It is a concentrate of both roman catholic and orthodox influences. Do not forget to visit also the downstairs
