Reviews from visitors:
I'm disappointed to be honest. It's beautiful on the outside and has quite an interesting history. Sadly the 6 € admission only gets you to the courtyard and a couple of exhibition rooms. Most of the castle grounds are off limits for visitors and while the exhibition displays cover the excavation work extensively they fail to highlight the history of the castello.
Beautiful fortress , we didn't go inside but the outside is nicely renovated.
In the streets around the castle you can stroll around some touristic streets with small souvenir shops.
Pretty small and nothing very special to see really.
Nice, but it would be cool to be able to access to the walls and the tower. It is a castle, not just a museum.
once a seat of Frederick II, one of the most impressive landmarks in Bari
