Reviews from visitors:
For the famous East Side Gallery, we can call it the world's largest collectively created peace memorial / open air gallery. On the 1316 meter high section of the Berlin Wall, which collapsed after the Cold War, there are 101 wall paintings in which artists from all over the world describe the freedom from peace, hope, humanity and anti-war in their own style. The open-air gallery, which is visited by 3 million people annually, is one of the most prioritized locations in Berlin.
A must see for sure!
Lots of art to see and enough things nearby to do.
This was one of the things we looked forward to the most on our trip through Europe. We are very much into art, so as soon as we arrived in Berlin we came here. Maybe my expectations were too high but I expected a little more of a wow factor. Although I have to say, some of these works had me thinking deeply for the rest of my trip.
The iconic place for Germany, the most important wall in the world. The symbol of separated nation. If you came to Berlin, just walking along the wall, the art shows a lot about history. The most popular place is the iconic kiss, there are Brezhnev and Honecker, so my god, help me to survive this deadly love...
Despite most of the wall being gone now, it is interesting to see this long stretch being preserved, and decorated so diversely. You can spend some time walking up and down the street look at this historical street art.
