Reviews from visitors:
A traditional and classical Edwardian stone building in central Blackpool with some fine pictures. In particular, there is an original portrait of the legendary Colonel TE Lawrence of that ilk, otherwise known as "Lawrence of Arabia". The portrait shows Lawrence in RAF uniform and dates from the late 1920s. Worth a visit for this portrait alone. I read a remarkable article written by Lawrence, while serving in the ranks of the RAF in the 1930s. It dealt technically with and brilliantly explained the then new science and application of aerial photography. His detailed knowledge was amazing as was his clarity of expression and understanding of its future use as a new strategic science and navigational technology that proved its value in WWII and beyond.
Interesting exhibits, not so many (around 10). Free entry, car park is £3 for two hours. Good covid-19 precautions.

A small but well laid out gallery situated next to the central library in an impressive Edwardian building. I visited when the open exhibition was on and saw some interesting paintings, sculptures and other media by local artists. Was impressed with what I saw but would also have liked to see more of the Grundy's permanent collection on display. The lady at the information desk was pleasant and enthusiastic and there's a nice little shop selling books and arty gifts. The gallery is free to enter but you can make a donation.
Small but perfectly formed, free entry and access to some great artwork. Perfect space to spend some time when in town
