A small but well laid out gallery situated next to the central library in an impressive Edwardian building. I visited when the open exhibition was on and saw some interesting paintings, sculptures and other media by local artists. Was impressed with what I saw but would also have liked to see more of the Grundy's permanent collection on display. The lady at the information desk was pleasant and enthusiastic and there's a nice little shop selling books and arty gifts. The gallery is free to enter but you can make a donation.
Massive choice of wallpaper, no pressure sales but help if you need it, some really nice finishing items too pictures, ornaments etc.
It was just how I remembered it from school with the 2p machines x
