Reviews from visitors:
Beautiful hotel with fantastic pools and stunning sunset view, staff at this hotel was very kind and friendly and genuinely looked happy to work there. We had the one bedroom residence with ocean view and balcony, the view was breathtaking. They take security very serious which is a good sign considering Cartagena can be a challenging destination for tourists with so many scams around.
Absolutely not worth the money!
- Check-In: Employee at reception lied to us saying that it would be normal in Colombia to pay the entire stay upfront.
- Room lightning: They have motion detection in the rooms. This might be nice during the day, but when you roommate is getting up at night you’re also awake because all lights are on immediately. You also need to term them off one by one after that, hoping that you can get to bed quick enough before your motions are detected again.
- Breakfast: We’re 2 persons sitting at the table. We say that WE would like to get pancakes. 1 plate with 1 pancake is delivered.
- Craftsmanship: Appliances are not installed properly, see picture. Almost every appliance in the bathroom is loose.
- Housekeeping did not close the door of our room after he or she left.
Summary: there are better hotels for a fairer price in Cartagena!
Hands down one of the best (if not the best) hotel I have stayed at! Everything is clean, design is luxurious, rooftop pools are sexy, and you’re close to everything (old city, indoor mall, beaches, bank machines, fast food, patios, etc.). I don’t remember what I paid to stay here - but whatever it was, I’m happy I did
The staff is extremely professional and the hotel is very clean. Had an issue regarding their visitor policies during covid, but it was handled very well. Jorge their head of security and a supervisor is awesome!
I love the Hyatt brand and have high expectations. The hotel itself did not disappoint in aesthetics. Very clean, well maintained and a luxury look. The rooms the views are all excellent. The food leaves much to be desired. First night my meal was served and the sweet potatoes were bitter tasting. The next morning ordered breakfast for room service. The eggs were bland and no salt or pepper was provided. The pools were beautiful and one of my favorite parts. But food service in and around the pools were slow. 45 minutes for 2 meals, 30 minutes for an appetizer. Drinks were Slightly faster. Getting a check at a table you almost need a bullhorn to get a servers attention to get it to you. Now on to the hotels communication and knowledge. Communication is very poor as they dont explain anything to you. Will make you miserable if you don't know the way they do things and defend themselves while admitting poor communication. Example dont take the elevator to the pool, that door is locked and people go to it all day trying to open it to no avail. I was treated wrong and threatened and they refused to make it right. They are not true representatives of the brand and don't seem to care.
