Tour guide was great. He did the tour in both English and Spanish
This was a good tour that highlighted parts of the old city you wouldn't notice otherwise. It wasn't the best free tour I've ever on been on but for the hour it was worth the additional information. A little hard to find as there are many tours that start at the same place at the same time so arrive on time so you can find the tour that's best suited to you.
Worst walking tour. We already did a free walking tour in Medellin and it was amazing! So we had high expectations. But we were really disappointed. The guides English was not so good and he talked while walking(so you could not hear him). I never heard so many dates in such a short time but not really any history except the dates and the names of statues. We were also dragged in a jewelry. That was the point where we left the tour. We were really sorry to leave but it was a waste of our time. We really would have loved to get to know some of the history of Cartagena.
The perfect way to get a quick overview of Cartagena's historical center.
We saw most of the major sights & got a good introduction to the city's colonial past, slave trade, inquisition & independence.
Highly recommend doing this your on your first day in Cartagena. It gives you some context for everything else & makes it much easier to find your way around the walled city.
We really enjoyed our English-language walking tour of Cartagena with Edgar. He was knowledgeable, funny, and kept me engaged the whole time. He also made sure we were always out of the sun on a very hot day! The tour really enriched our experience of Cartagena.
