A three floor gallery, which is free to the public. We really enjoyed our visit there: there were pictures painted by local artists with beautiful colours. Many different styles. Definitely worth a visit!
High quality accomodation with a great localization.
Directly in the old town, run by very nice and friendly people, furnished and arranged with a very good taste.
The Andante room we had is quiet and cool with a private side street entrance. Bed is very comfortable and we had a great sleep, all 2 minutes away from the Venetian Harbor area.
Breakfast is rather basic but tasty, all with a very good price.
All in all highly recommended.
Best museum in the city. Skip the bad archaeological museum and come here instead. Really interesting information, well curated, high quality artifacts. Very informative but small enough to not be overwhelming. One of the best museums I've been to in a while. Highly recommend.
A nice little museum with reminders of how Greek life once was.
Present day: The needlework on display by mama can probably be adapted into some great COVID-19 face masks and would make for some cool souvenirs! A little Greek dancer or sunflower maybe!
A shop filled with beautiful things. There is no pressure to buy anything. They provide a lot of background on the artist and production processes if you're interested. I purchased a sculpture and asked if I could pick it up on my way to the airport. This was no problem at all. It was well wrapped and it's now sitting proudly on my bookshelf. I was so tempted to buy more, but I'll leave that to the next time I visit!
Amazing experience on Captain Nick’s boat trip! We went on the 3hour boat trip which included a free drink of choice and a lot of snorkelling. All equipment is provided. Captain nick is very friendly and gives a lot of information about the area. We visited two islands during the boat trip and then we got off at one of the beaches where we could sunbathe, eat etc! Nick brought us around the ocean for a snorkelling lesson and showed us amazing things! WW2 plane wreck, an old unexploded bomb and lots of wildlife! Would highly recommend for families, kids and couples!
A beautiful orthodox church located on the edge of the Old Port of Chania. Its location makes it easy, after your visit, to proceed to the other sights of the beautiful complex.

We really enjoyed the two and a half hour trip this morning. The captain and the guide were fantastic - really friendly and welcoming. We saw the Cretan goats on the island, snorkelled over the sunken aircraft then stopped again and snorkelled with hundreds of fish. It was like swimming in an aquarium. The boat itself was comfortable, there was shade from the sun and drinks were provided. Would definitely recommend.
Great location, cute and clean apartment with great facilities. Most comfortable bed and pillows ever. Balcony suitable for hobbit sized folk like me. Much bigger and you might struggle.
