CoCa has been an institution in Ōtautahi Art exhibitions for a very long time with a long history of innovative and exciting local art to enjoy for any visitors! Please do come along if you are in Christchurch. My photo here shows an example of lathe cut vinyl records and sleeve art from the most recent exhibition. Stunning! Come have a look.
The building itself is an art work. An interesting unique glass structure. Entry is free but you can pay a donation. There are many interesting traditional and contemporary art exhibitions on display. Even if you are not an art lover its definitely worth a visit.
Tucked away and quite hard to find the Teece Museum of Classical Antiquities is well worth a visit. Part teaching resource, part miscellany, all really, really interesting and packed with intriguing details of ancient Mediterranean cultures. Don't be put off by the standard practice of subdued lighting. Just draw nearer and slow down to take in what's on display. A guide is available to point out greater detail if desired.
Lovely museum! Very peaceful and wonderful. Had the opportunity to see the new exhibition for Muslims regarding Mosuqes. Was a lovely peaceful place to pray. Spreading love and peace to all ❤️✌️ I also enjoyed the other parts of the museum. Found the old cowboy city very interesting and fun as well Thank you for all the lovely staff and their support and kindness.
