I have now visited twice for concerts and I have been pleased both times. The grass is soft & well maintained (I slipped my shoes off & enjoyed the feeling of the grass while I was right around my chair.) I did not get any kind of pest bite either time I was there, which really is saying a lot because I usually can not walk from car to door of a building without some sort of mosquito or gnat bite. The restroom was clean & well stocked at the beginning of the concert - I did NOT see any kind of cleaning or restocking going on during the show, which would be the only negative thing I have to say. The parking lot is even & is close to where the concert is to be held. We drive from Pensacola to come to concerts here. They seem to be able to draw the acts we like & we really like the facilities.
Brandon comes to our home every week for 2 years now and engages our 12 year old son in piano lessons extremely well! He is knowledgeable in teaching students to play both by note and by ear. He's dependable and really a great teacher as well as pianist. The annual concert is wonderful too!
We highly recommend Brandon and his mother.
Oh my gosh...this place is fabulous. If you want some unique, different from the chain type shops, you need to visit Banana Bart's. Beautiful views from the parking lot too for pictures. He's been there 37 years!!!
This place has a lot of good places to shop and it is well kept. Need sun glasses they ha e an Oakley store if you like Oakley's. And yes I do. They have a Finish Line and Foot Locker for any athletic shoe needs. If you are into bath bombs then of course you go to Lush. I am the Bass Pro person in my family. This is my favorite Bass Pro at Destin Commons. Need a book well there is Books a Million. They have a Victoria Secrets for ladies and they do sell Cologne for men there too. Try the Very Sexy For Him collection. It is excellent. They have many more stores and restaurants at Destin Commons. Come check this out if you are in the Destin area.
Wonderful art on display from artists far and near. We explored lots of different styles of art on display and could have spent many hours more. My wife has wanted to visit here for some time now and we finally made it in, which we were quite happy that we did. The staff was helpful and easy to talk with and shared many details with us about the various pieces on display. Great experience overall.
Worthy of five stars... only if you get rid of scented candles, etc... instant headache from the smells... store was clean, organized, and staff were very helpful.
The Arts and Design Society is a great place for beginners to learn art, display art, and meet others who love art in all it's forms. It's a great place for accomplished artists, too. They can work in clay, oils, watercolor, drawing. So many classes are offered for adults and children, that there is something for everyone. Monthly art shows in the gallery, monthly luncheons with informative speakers and a welcoming atmosphere for all are right here in downtown Fort Walton Beach.
We love Andy! He worked on three (3) consignment pieces for us for our Florida home! Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I would keep ordering art over and over if I could. And by the way, I love how he treats his cat.
I was afforded the opportunity to live in Lori Drew's art studio for four weeks!
Every night I went to sleep and each morning I awoke surrounded by Lori's paintings... filling me with a sense of serenity and hope when I was running short on both.
Each exceptional piece speaks its own language, has its own story... a story that is very likely to be different for every viewer. I am lucky to have five of Lori’s works in my home. Each one is unique… from Aspens, a Bicycle on the beach, Trees in a forest, and an Angel.
I suggest you drop in for a visit at the studio…Everyone should have, at the very least , one of Lori's oil and cold wax creations in their home:)
