Reviews from visitors:
Amazing architecture and collection of art and other historical items. It was well worth the admission price. It was a nice break from the rainy day that we were having.
Very beautiful, educational and historical. Has a lot to show, basically the most important things you need to know and it's quite cheap for locals (100kn for three people (in our case)).
The history both on display and also part of this palace is pretty incredible. You can really feel it seeping through the stones as you wander around the exhibits. I especially loved the sunny courtyard (at midday) and the Croatian War for Independence memorial. Beautiful and sublime.
Must visit place in old town if you are interested in history of Dubrovnik.
In the Rector's palace is home to a museum where you can view furniture from the time of the Republic and artworks from the 15th to 19th Century.
At the entrance to the Rector's Palace is the inscription: Obliti privatorum publica curate (Forget the private and worry about the public), real proof of how important the state was to Dubrovnik people at that time. In the Rector's Palace you can visit the notorious prison, see antique furniture and other useful objects, picturesby native and foreigna rtists, mainly Italian masters, the Republic's numismatic collection, old weapons and objects from the Domus Christi pharmacy in the 15th Century. On the first floor you can see the bedroom and working cabinet of the Dubrovnik Rector.
