Reviews from visitors:
due to the works they are having the current exhibition is very small
It is a shame that only limited areas are open and that some visitors seem oblivious to the social distancing measures, time restriction on visits is not mentioned on web site
A beautiful gallery. Such a calming place in the middle of Edinburgh's hustle and bustle.
Relax atmosphere at the moment. At this moment you need to book in advance. The website is a bit chunky, it works well, but you need to go through a number of pages before you actually can get your free ticket. I booked just 30 minutes before going in. The number of people is restricted, which means is very quiet. There is one way system which seems to be working fine. However, I don't quite follow the logic of why some of the small rooms are opened and others say it's not possible to keep physical distance if they are all the same size!
Plenty art by Italian, dutch, spanish, french, english, british artists. Not much by Scottish artists for a Scottish national gallery.
