When you get your first sight of some of these murals it's a jaw dropping occasion. At first you can't believe your eyes, they seem so lifelike, especially the ones all around the Orchidarium (Orchid House).
We spent the morning of one less-than sunny day following the recommended walk in the review by reviewer Jennifer Longhurst. It took us just over 2 hours, not counting two stops for coffee etc.
The etc. were very good, by the way!
It was very interesting to see the different styles, and some were just spectacular. The children enjoyed the trip too, they were reading the map for us on a phone to follow the suggested walk. Yet another PLUS for Estepona!
You must go for a walk around the old centre. You will find many murals, flowers, beautiful old cultural pieces. Helps if you can read spanish! Because there are many stories to be told.

The streets in themselves are SO lovely, but seeking out and finding the poetry on the walls was an extra bonus. We couldn't read some of them - and not just the one in Arabic! - but managed to grasp the meaning of most of them.
And even if we couldn't understand either the original nor the Spanish translation, the thrill of the chase and the beauty of the plaques made it worth while.
Estepona is a jewel. In short, I cannot say anything different about it.. It has all the quaint qualities of a small, off the beaten track niceties, yet is a full fledged town. It is not as glamorous as Marcella, but also, not as crowded with a lot more local and down to earth people.. Love it, if you are ever in the Costa Del Sol area make sure you visit it.
A really great team. They paid real personal attention to my requirements. They have the best selection of Estepona Old Town houses available. In fact all of them and really give good valuable advice when it comes to buying. Thanks to you all.
