Reviews from visitors:
A fortress made by the Dutch people. This place is heaven. You can travel here for days. The sunset and sunrise over the horizon is a breathtaking view. This place covers an area of 130 acres and very old. A great place to walk, hangout, swim on the beach, eat, shopping and every thing
Iconic place and one of the famous tourist attractions in the country. There are much more in the area that you can visit include museums, the famous clock tower, lighthouse, number of churches and many buildings created by Dutch architecture. It is one of best places to visit for tourists and students to learn about history of Galle.
Nice spot to take a stroll through the area and see the crystal clear water. The lighthouse and fort is a quite unique area and there’s lots to do or even just stroll around past the many shops. From jewelry shops, to museums, to restaurants.
Fantastic history. In the old hospital there are places to eat, and purchase jewellery. Lots of little boutiques around, and good views from the fort itself.
Good place to have a different experience, apart from modern city life to ancient dutch culture. Its really amazing to see that still they preserve these things.
