Great experience!!! My husband and I took a class where we made our own pieces of pottery. The instructor, Rachel, is incredible! She knows how to explain each step in detail while keeping the class fun! In the pottery shop, Karen, is extremely helpful and sweet as can be! When we were leaving, my (not so sure at first) husband said he was really glad that we did this. We will definitely be making this a part of our TN trips!
This place was AMAZING!! My husband and I went in on our honeymoon after a recommendation from another pottery shop. We were looking for some personalized mugs. We found something even better (although personalized mugs were available for a couple months wait). We were able to sign up for the class being offered that day!!! We had a blast and Rachel was a fantastic teacher!! The class price was $40 but that included EVERYTHING even shipping! The owner and all other staff were so super helpful and friendly! We've decided to go back again before we head home this week!
My husband and I took a pottery class at Fowler's Clay works. We had a great time in a very laid back atmosphere. Our instructor was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Fowler's has made a couple of custom pieces for us as well. We are always happy with the work. I've been coming to the mountains for years and have lots of pottery from the area. Fowler's is by far my favorite.
Everyone should try and make their own pottery, unexpectedly lots of fun. Had a great time. Couldn't beat the price. Cant wait to go back.

The pottery class was awesome. I never imagined that I would get as much time, instruction, and such a quality piece for such a low cost, plus a discount at the shop. Wow. Classes in my area are at least triple that. I really enjoyed the class and learned a great deal.
