It's the middle of the road between the port with how great attractions and the old city of Genova. To be seen preferably in the evening when the lights of the fountain are on and street artists are often performing.
Main square in Genoa. The fountain gets painted different colours throughout the year to celebrate different occasions. It is surrounded by important buildings such as Palazzo Ducale, where you can find art exhibitions and concerts, and the Opera House (teatro Carlo Felice), where you can catch the opera or other classical music concerts. Just off the square, Via XX Settembre, which leads towards Brognole Station, is the heart of Genoese shopping.
An impressive place with lots of buildings, and lots of car traffic as well. At night the illuminations are beautiful. A good place for a picnic, as long as the sun is not too harsh.
The main hub of the old town section of Genova with the ducal palace worth visiting and the large fountain great for refreshing yourself in the summer. This is the gateway to the medieval section and the old harbor.
Great place to go to if you are hanging out in the hot summer days. Nebulized water from the fountain keeps you cool. You can also have a nap on the fountain's edge.
