Wonderful place to go with kids or without! My 3 yr old loved the aquarium portion. The Alligator was awesome. Larger then expected. The food wasn't great so don't expect much in that department. I was hoping for more dinosaur bones but the rest was pretty awesome. I will go back in a few years when the kids get bigger to check it out again.
I have been dying to visit and thank god I finally did. The type of art that is displayed here is refreshing. Pop culture through the ages mixed with contemporary and plenty from the Miami,FL Arts movement. The art here is provocative, powerful and really challenges your own thoughts, feelings and interpretation of pieces. I found myself with a plethora of emotions that were being evoked by the turn of every corner.
It's a beautiful bar (not really a museum) with nice decorations and lots of paintings. We went there when there was a band playing nice music and did enjoy our time. Major issues were that everything was overpriced, the waitress was super ignorant while it was not busy at all, and most importantly what kind of bar charges an addition 5% for credit cards? On the receipt it says there is a 0.039% non cash adjustment (which I had never seen in a bar before) but they really added about 5% for credit payments with no explanation. I don't care about the extra dollar that we paid but I do care when a restaurant or a bar tries to rip off people in such a way. With their service I think that the enforced 18% tip is also not fair at all.
UNREAL CUBAN INFUSION ♥️
This was by far our favorite thing to do in Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
We had an amazing night with the unbelievably kind staff and host, and kind musicians who let us experience the beauty of their culture through their lovely music and incredible culinary menu. We especially loved the new chef and server from Italy. The owner was incredibly gracious. We really felt like we were back in Havana, Cuba!!!
This place has the perfect mix of beautiful art (from the 1800’s!!), the best mojitos I ever had (even better than Havana’s), and music.
Thank you Cubaocho!
I hope to return very soon!!
Great place to spend a day with a kid. We were there about 6 hours and had a blast. Lots to see and do and the open "backyard" area in the back was a great place for mine to burn more energy while I relaxed on the sides. When we went they had the gorgeous butterflies in the rainforest area as well as the dinosaurs exhibit. Didn't get to visit the planetarium maybe next time.
