Reviews from visitors:
Gorgeous stately old Spanish Governer's mansion, located in downtown Old Havana. Large interior atrium, full of sunlight, statues & palm trees. Upstairs are fully-furnished rooms, just as they would be a hundred years ago. Has the oldest Cuban flag in existence there, as well as other historical artifacts, including military uniforms from various eras & military branches. Also houses the Museum of the City of Havana.
Amazing museum. Visiting here takes you back to a long lost time.
For my fellow Cubans out there: do you know that they have a pair of shoes that belonged to Maceo, and flags that were used in our actual battles against Spain? This place is a must see for history geeks.
Nice place for traveling
One of the most amazing places I've visited. There is just something about the architecture with the greenery that feels so nice to look at. I couldn't stop taking pictures.
I enjoyed the place and the interior more than the furniture but the artifacts are still worth it and they're very well placed with good attention to detail.
I recommend it as a must visit to get to know more about the architecture and the local history.
A nice stop to slow down and take in the sights, with photo opportunities at every corner. There are a lot of vendors and Cuban people close by, with a park directly across the street. There is a lot of history and its relatively cheap for what you get, so take your time and enjoy.
