Impressive architecture.
The Opera House Saigon was built in 1898 following the “flamboyant” style of the French Third Republic. It was set to be two meters higher than the street surface with two door layers, in order to prevent traffic noise.
The theatre is now a venue for many high profile events and cultural – entertainment activities of the city. This magnificent building is one of the top must-visit places of Saigon
The staff were very enthusiastic and helpful when we bought the tickets. A variety of hot and cold drinks were provided before the show for the early comers, which was a nice touch. Definitely recommend to catch a show there! very nice!
The Nutcracker 2020 was the first sold-out performance from the 5 years running. This year the performance was magical, the conductor Mr. Tran Vuong Thach was electrifying and the dance spectacular. Of the 5 years, the first year and this one were by far the best. Whatever the crew did, worked spectacularly. Bravo!
One of the most popular Attractions in Saigon. They have great vintage design which is representative for Saigon’s architecture before 1975. We visited this place for “A O Show” which is the most popular show of the opera house, the show is fabulous.
The theater is still active regularly, you can enjoy the unique symphony music here, along with a great space.
Very suitable for those who are passionate about classical music
