Reviews from visitors:
The place is not that big, consists of 3 parts: the house of the scientist (with some of his personal belongings and a lot of sea animals in jars), the museum itself - 3 rooms and aquarium. So every person needs 3 tickets, each by 5 LE.
Sure will not say that it is a "wow place" but concerning that in Hrg there is almost no choice, this place is quite nice to bring the kids & speak wz them ab the sealife.
Good area,good place
Very nice place, but needs more renovations
I had a tour into this historic museum and aquarium, which was the fore front of marine research in Egypt in the first half of the last century, proven by the state of the equipment and sea creatures displayed, for both live and mummified ;
one can also find terrestrial animals (mammals, birds and reptiles) from surrounding desert environment with full explanation of the whole preservation process for different animals and how it evolved from the time of pharaohs till present with their own contribution (hint :if you ever visit the grand Egyptian museum in Cairo, preserved animals section, you would understand, how come you can see a ten foot dinosaur era, amphibian such as Nile crocodile with the second strongest bite on earth, after its ancestors , on display carefully preserved after 3 thousand years), I'm grateful to have visited this historic place and I'd do it again, I feel satisfied to know all of these facts and findings about sea life
I Strongly recommend visiting
Contain a lot of embalmed true fishes and reptiles and preserved formalin rare old fishes and snails and other large jars of live fishes but the place non attractive and no enough decorations
