Reviews from visitors:
Some very chic shops. Flower and plant displays are almost surreal. Have to touch the leaves to believe they are real. So well grown. Shop design is almost Art. A kaleidoscope of creativity.
The Tan Hiok Nee Heritage Walk is overrated attraction, as here is mainly with old buildings and restaurant, and there is nothing educational.
Here is more like restaurants street of Johor, rather than a heritage walk. You can see lot of old buildings, but nothing explained their history. And you will find lot of cafe around, maybe it's good to take a break around
Visited in March as part of a walking tour of Johor Bahru. This street is a quaint little street with many cafes, restaurants and, colonial era and traditional Malay architecture. Having just visited Melaka, this heritage/walking street was a major disappointment in comparison. There really isn’t that much to see that's interesting, with the exception of the architecturally interesting Jumpa Selalu restaurant at the junction of Jalan Tan Hiok Nee and Jalan Pahang, and maybe the Chinese history museum. Most of the cafes here are well over-priced. However, the more traditional local restaurants are reasonably priced and offer tasty street food.
Reminds me of Jonker Walk in Melaka but much fun. There a lots of shirts sold here but too hard to find parking spot. I had to drive around for almost 30 minutes just to park at restricted area lol but I didn’t have that much time to explore the whole lane, so now I have a reason to come back to Johor!
Very nice place. Modernise the old hay days and yet still retaining the yesteryear aura. Yesteryear's Kopi-Tiam still serving its patrons faithfully
