Beautiful mural, the building is right next to Podil’s community garden Samosad and it’s also just a two minute walk to one of the oldest synagogues in Kyiv.
Really good art gallery, the only thing I don't like about this place is the security, I understand they are just doing their job but it takes way to long to enter this place. Aside from that, it's a really good place to send a few hours, even if you are not that much into art.
It's a fine small museum. Just to set the facts straight: The place is called "Museum of Contemporary Art," but you will see no contemporary art there - mostly 20th century dead artists.
Small but very interesting gallery. It is located in the basement of a residential entrance, directly opposite the arch. We got a little lost, but the gallery employee in the telephone mode directed us "in the right direction."
That day we got to the exhibition of Anatoly Galitsky. I liked it very much.
According to the administrator, the exposition is changed every three weeks. Come - you will not regret it.
They have a very interesting new installment right now with pictures-of Kyiv in the 80s, recommend everyone to visit! Although unfortunately it was quite a small place and no regulation for people to ware masks. The sign was there and hand sanitizer was provided, however no supervision.
Tsekh Gallery is pure magic. The building itself is a pretty good size, has a nice layout with really tall ceilings and lots of light, a separated bar area, and a backyard. Oh, I should also mention a really cool fireplace that Sasha, the owner, dreamt of in his sleep and then made it a real thing. They called their fireplace Fedya :)
The artists represented here are incredibly talented and high quality. Sasha chooses his art pieces wisely making sure there is lots of meaning behind each work. You can definitely feel the depth of the masterpieces. All the artists represented there are from Ukraine.
In my opinion, if you are visiting Kiev and you are passionate about art, you cannot miss this gallery. I highly recommend this place when visiting or for locals!
One of my favorite places after it underwent reconstruction. Lots of people promenade here, now it is connected to the People's Friendship Arch. And as it is Artists' Alley, you can buy lots of various paintings here, created in different styles and with different techniques. You can go to D12 from here too, and they sell coffee and beverages right on the street even when the market is closed. Not a long time ago they built a staircase from here to St. Andrew's Church so you can go there easier.
The content is changing. Walking through the Mariinsky Park it is convenient to lay eyes on art. It makes sense to cross the road. Not a museum, but a rather large exhibition of paintings. Highly artistic fridge magnets are provided ... Well, you can grab a picture).
We went to Kiev a few years ago, we stopped vy Globus Gallery. There was a long series a beautiful paintings. We bought one and then 4 mores from the US. Such great and classical painters.
Absolutely a MUST SEE museum!!! Highly recommended for the essence of content. Great for girls as there are many dresses!
Lots n lots of materials squeezed on a small area, you can feel like going back in time with all the artifacts n music... 19th century world at your fingertips... for children n adults!
Not much information to read, just interesting objects, surprising objects, authentic real life objects!!!
Even if you have 15 minutes only it is good to visit, you should absolutely visit this amazing amazing place!!!
Very creative! But normally 1 hour or maximum 2 hours for all should be enough. 50 hrywnas in 2021 for adults if I remember well.
