Reviews from visitors:
The Cathedral is located within the old city of Kotor and beside everything else I’m going to mention one interesting fact, the Cathedral of St. Tryphon in the Old Town, which is 69 years older than the Notre Dame in Paris and astounding 460 years older than the Basilica of St. Peter in Rome!
The Cathedral of Sv.Tripuna is the most important monument of medieval Kotor. It was designated on an older cultural site, in which in 809 a pre-Romanesque church was built dedicated to the same saint.
The cathedral is open for tourists, admission is 3 Euro. It also houses the Museum of sacral art.
CATHEDRAL OF KOTOR- This is one of the highlights while visiting Kotor, Montenegro. There are lots of interesting religious Relics to see inside the church.
It seemed like a lovely cathedral from outside. We stood in front for a moment, taking photos and looking at the architecture, but when we decided to enter, person shut main doors in our faces, without any explanation.it was approximately 1200 or 1300 and it wasnt nowhere close to closing time.It was an absolutely shocking and disgraceful behaviour.I wouldn't reccomend this place because of the horrible attitude and behaviour.
Visiting Card of the City. Beautiful and this year as never, quite empty. This place is beautiful and one of the must see in Montenegro.
