A small little museum that has some pretty great stuff on display and for sale. The ground floor is admission free. To go to the upper levels, you need to pay 300 yen - a very reasonable price. You get to see some exquisite works of art, students of traditional crafts at work, some great architectural designs by students, and a unique gallery that displays works by masters and top students that you can buy. All the works in this gallery are hand made and one of a kind. If you can't afford the large pieces, even the small works like ear-rings, etc are one of a kind yet affordable.

One of the museum that we still can enter the meiji style building. The first floor is actually free and basically just contained shops. The exhibition itself actually placed in the modern type building just behind the meiji type building. Right now it held exhibitions of dolls in the midst of hina-matsuri so it's quite joyful to look at

I wouldn't call it a museum, more of a photo exhibition. A small one at that. But the photos exhibited were wonderful for me. They also encourage you to take a photo of the place and upload to your social media.

Hanamikoji-dori seems to be the go-to spot when tourist visits Gion. You'll find lots of foreigners here wearing traditional Japanese kimono. They all don't come here without a reason, as the street is pleasantly wonderful to stroll around, whether day/night. If you're lucky you'll spot a Maiko on her way. Authentic Japanese restaurants and cafes on your left and right will surely gives you a unique experience. Most of them comes with a high priced menu here.
I do my best to keep this list as up-to-date as possible. I last updated it in June 2024. If you know of a street art that should be on the list, let me know. Click here to contact me. Thanks!
