This is a very big museum. You definitely need 2 hours minimum to get to see everything that is being shown here. They have very interesting pieces from every historic period in Peru. This is a must go for everyone visiting Peru.
Super cool art museum, well worth a visit particularly with the student discount. The layout is mostly chronological, and works are well-curated with appropriate context and documentation. There is something for everyone here, from pre-colonial works through modern art.
I spent about 2.5 hours here at the permanent collection, which felt just right. From what I saw, the (included) tours are very good as well.
Highly recommended.
Very good views of art
It was a bit got, because of no air-conditioning. In general, a visit to this museum will be a good introduction to a Peruvian art
