Reviews from visitors:
Nice caves after a good climb (through stairs).
Beautiful view, best time to visit is late afternoon so you can watch the sun set as well.
The caves usually close by 5pm. Please check before visiting. There is also a temple here, just outside the caves. Must visit.
Holy place. Nice and well maintained clean place. Small hilly route of about 1 km to reach to the caves. Easy to reach and was not crowded in a week day but possibly busy on weekends. Its kind of temple too so before entering caves you need to take off your shoes. Not to miss on your way to lonavla. Eagle view is fantastic.
Ancient place to visit in lonavala.... Please carry water bottle... The caves are at a height... Steps are there to climb
This is a very old monument still very huge and an ancient engineering marvels. This was only of the most sought place for the traders from both North and South of India to rest. There are multiple rooms for people based on class, like the horsemen, palkhi carriers, cooking area and the main traders. The carvings in the rocks are very rich. Everyone will be amazed by these sculptures..
The caves are fantastic. I have visited this place many times and seen a progressive decline over the years till early 2000s. Then I visited again after a gap of a decade and realized that things are picking up. I wish they would open up a larger part of the caves for public viewing. They have done a good job of what is currently being shown.
