We loved this tour. Kasper was a great guide, with an inspiring story, and firsthand knowledge of local artists and the varying tensions between different parties. Fascinating! I'll never look at street art through the same eyes again. I can't believe that I lived in Melb for 10 years, and never knew these alleyways existed! Our kids, age 11 and 15, loved it too. What a great space the Blended Studio is. Thankyou for a fabulous afternoon, and for the lovely nibbles and drinks at the end. Particularly appreciated the healthy foods and option of sugar free drinks for the kids . Really well thought-out. 5 stars!
I went with a group of 19 students on this tour, they absolutely loved it. They found it very engaging and informative. Justin our tour guide was hilarious and engaged with the students on another level. He was really enthusiastic and the students loved his creative flare and honest reflections. The students also really enjoyed the Gallery, not only the biscuits, chips and the juice - they were fascinated with the complexity and talent of the Street artists of Melbourne. Thanks for having us, we will be back.
I took my VCE art class on a tour, as we had been studying art ideas and art issues. I felt it was fitting to look at the street art movement in context with contemporary art. It was fantastic! My students and I came away with inspiration and a deeper understanding of the street art movement.
What was also a highlight was venturing to Blender studios to see the artists working in their studios. A fabulous adventure!
