Reviews from visitors:
This museum is a hidden pearl in Milano: really advised if you find yourself in the area of Castello Sforzesco (it is right in front of the big fountain). The museum is composed of two parts : an exhibition of art pieces and a lab dedicated to the verification of works of art. The lab is not open to the public but you can find very friendly staff that is showing you around and telling more about the activity of the museum and it history. The exhibition is a thematic educational journey showing how to distinguish real from false artworks and touches ancient archeological items (roman and etruscan) but also glass, porcelein, and african and oriental art. It has interesting interactive experiences as a Wood UV light experiment to see how different material interact to it in the scope of identification of false artworks. The museum is in a beautiful palace, too. The museum also offers art courses (a friend followed a drawing course and it sounded great) and doubles as conference and events location.
Very educational. Great details of all the objects.
I love whatever they do! :) Great place, great exhibits! The places around for food are a bit expensive..so carry ur food :)
Just as we stroll on the winter streets of Milan, we saw that beautiful building and we spend some time to observe it! It was closed, we didn't enter, but it seemed so interesting.
Good small educational museum. Very nice panels on analyzing some of DaVinci's work. Interesting section on authenticating artwork. Very educational, overall. Recommended.
Extra feat: the old secret passage to the castle on the other side of the street!
