The archaeological site is located in the suggestive underground rooms of the Baroque cathedral where the exhibition itinerary winds through the archaeological remains.
It 'a fascinating journey through the history of Monopoly and churches built, destroyed and rebuilt soon after many years in the same place. You can visit ancient structures, tombs, cisterns and admire interesting finds in the place where they were found.
An archaeological site and a museum surprisingly rich in testimonies from the past, a 4000 year long journey through the history of the city, absolutely not to be missed if you want to know Monopoli in depth! :)
