MAC is a great place to visit overall, but something unpleasant happened during my visit.
There was a guy wandering around in one of the exhibitions, he looks like a security guard but I don’t really know who he is and I didn’t ask his name. He kept talking to random people, I don’t have a problem with that. But when he came to talk to me, I felt quite uncomfortable cause i found the way he talk to me is kinda rude, like mocking the way I speak, using curse words when talking to a total stranger, and judging what I think about the exhibitions.
I don’t know what’s his deal because to me, he was just making random small talk, not really having a specific topic, in an impolite way.
We didn’t talk for long since I was more and more irritated by what he was saying to me so I just said I have to go and left.
I don’t know, there might be some misunderstandings. I found him kinda rude might because I’m Asian. It might be my own problem since I’m depressed and routinely mess up everything.
I really don’t know, but this encounter totally ruined my one of the few alright-days.
Thank you stranger. I think I better stay away from people forever.
Surely the museum has seen better times before the pandemic. I think that for safety measures, not all of the museum is open. It has a very little exposition and is kind of disappointing at this point. Not worth going.
Everyone was respectful also don't think every piece of art is actually nice but I guess that is for you to decide, the history of each artist is nice.
Is this the montreal equivalent of the pompidou? It's always been my favourite. Years ago I would spend the whole afternoon here. Its quiet& quirky. some installations could keep me engaged for hours. I went back for a visit this past summer and was not disappointed even during the pandemic- they will always have something peculiar on display!
