Reviews from visitors:
One of the most important icons of New York. His art exhibition is very well categorized. The staff is very friendly and helps you with any questions.
In this museum you can find a wide variety of artistic works, among which are emblematic paintings such as The Starry Night or The Persistence of Memory. Definitely a place that can overwhelm you with emotions with each new visit.
In my opinion, if you are visiting New York and you are passionate about art, you cannot miss this museum.
Absolutely spectacular. Got to see 2 of my favorite paintings. Discovered new art. Met new people. This was an awesome experience. Sorry i did not get to see you Mr. Galloway, my art teacher. Its a huge place. Highly recommended visiting.
We've always loved this museum; it is quite possibly my favorite museum. The new MoMA is wonderful. With the timed entry and diminished capacity, it actually added to the experience. The rooms felt open and empty so I could enjoy the art (I only had to wait for one couple before seeing Starry Night, which usually had a crowd 6 deep huddled before it! ) I also appreciated all the new art from their collection, many works I had never seen before. And the greater representation of female and minority artists was also very appreciated as it provided different viewpoints and insights to the art world than I had previously been exposed to.
Finally, for me, one of the highlights was the audio feature on their website. There was no need to rent a listening device as you could use your own cell phone. And the short commentary for many of the works of art added wonderful insight, often from the artists themselves, their relatives, or their contemporaries. This special touch truly brought so much of the art to life!
It was great being able to visit a museum during such a strange year. I was fortunate enough to snag some of the free tickets that were being offered for Fridays in September. I had no idea there were Picassos on display! So much beauty to observe. I hope I get to visit again soon
Another very NYC icon! I went during the week at Noon. They did a great job of making sure they checked your temperature, wearing appropriate masks and provided sanitizer. It was very quiet but I noticed it started to get busy in the afternoon. There is nowhere to eat inside. Maybe why people were not there at that time. This is a wonderful museum for modern art! Tons of artwork to enjoy! I highly recommend this place when visiting or for locals!
