I visited Snap last week to see the Van Gogh effect exhibition. I just loved it. I love photography but I also love Van Gogh so this was a bonus for me. I got to see beautiful and interesting photographs from Vincent's life. The places he had been. This exhibit also focused on the asylum where Vincent spend some time because of his mental illness. The photographs showed current patients and how they are trying to recover form their illness by drawing and painting by taking inspiration from Van Gogh. This exhibition is just outstanding. I loved the atmosphere. My overall viewing experience was very pleasant.

Amazing art! The owners make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. Their art is thought provoking and flawlessly executed. They even have retail products designed by local artists! Every time I walk by I see something new and exciting in this space. It’s so nice to have a unique place like this In downtown Orlando. Keep up the great work!

Such a fun experience for the family. My dad came along with me and my 2 daughters. We have been learning about art in our homeschooling. So we decided to do some first hand learning about art. The kids really were fascinated by everything. There was a lady walking around finding people to be part of her tour, she went up to my youngest and interacted with her and told us about the tour. My youngest daughter wanted to do the tour. She really enjoyed it and both of my kids really learned a lot from it. We will definitely be back when they change stuff up again.

The museum itself is really petite with a mainstay collection from a self-taught local artist and a rotating display featuring a new artist every few months. It's okay for an art gallery, but what really makes it for me is their outdoor sculpture garden and trails nearby.
You can go along the Orlando Urban Trail up to Mead Garden that is about 1.5 miles from here or to Lake Highland about the same distance away.
It's near to the Orlando Science Center and Orlando Art Museum so you could hit these up as well! Also, Better Than Sex Dessert Cafe is around the corner as well.

This is one of the best boutique studios. Marcus the owner is super responsive and this studio is by far one of the cleanest and well maintained studios in Orlando. I highly recommend this studio for productions.

I love that this place is part of the local landscape. Artists in residence working out their wares. There are open house events a couple of times a year.

Mills 50 is the new Thornton Park. It has more unique restaurants and a younger crowd. Two of the four newest breweries are in Mills 50 along with the best sushi restaurant and 10 square miles. I love my Vietnamese restaurants but their Sushi is only okay Yama Sons is a welcome new player and one of the only restaurants in Orlando you can get real truffles.

There is a large selection of drinks that are well-priced - definitely one of the go-to bars in Thornton Park.
The only caveat is the bartenders definitely cater towards their regulars. But overall still a nice place!

Beautiful art and fantastic service! Difficult parking because of the construction though!! Not their fault!
14 Lake Eola Park

If Orlando is “The City Beautiful,” then Lake Eola Park is its residents' hub of leisure. This park around a sinkhole-lake in the center of Downtown Orlando is a picturesque city park, filled with gardens, art, a walking/jogging trail, and more! We love strolling along the lake for some quick escapism. Along the lake are sculptures and other art fixtures that enhance the experience and add some great cultural infusion into the Downtown Orlando area. The lake offers swan boats as well. If you visit at night, the fountain in the middle of the lake offers great water shows with the music being played around the entirety of the walking path. This park is also a great place to look out for farmers markets and other larger events throughout the year. We love walking around this lake and all of the offerings that are nearby.

It is a truly exceptional place to shop. They have so many supplies and at all different price ranges! I felt so excited to fine all kinds of different paints and canvases. I’ve already come back three times in less than a week. The service is wonderful. They have a new regular now.

I've been attending FusionFest for the past few years and they've done a wonderful job showcasing the heritages and cultures of Central FL.

A small area that shares space with Downtown Orlando, it has a ton of shops, restaurants, and local fun art. We frequent the local parking garage as it's always easy to find a spot and get in and out without issue. They accept all forms of credit cards, which isn't always the case for some of the garages in the area.
Be sure to check out some of the fantastic mural art and electrical box art that can be found throughout. I love that they keep it unique and funky, while also giving local artist a fun way to showcase their work.
Overall: A
Great area for food and fun. Good restaurants and shops.
I do my best to keep this list very up to date. It was last edited in November 2024. If you know of a street art that should be on the list, let me know. Click here to contact me. Thanks!
