Reviews from visitors:
The Episcopal Palace located in Piazzetta Cattedrale, today Largo Trinchera, was built around 1560 and substantially rebuilt in 1750; it is joined to the Seminary palace by the Arco Scoppa, from the name of the bishop who had it erected in 1750, whose coat of arms appears in the center of the arch. The facade preserves architectural elements from 1550 and 1700; the portal is surmounted by the arms of Queen Isabella of Aragon, feudal lord of Ostuni from 1507 to 1524. The Seminary palace, erected by the will of the bishop Benedetto Milazzo in 1705, was completed by the bishop Francesco Antonio Scoppa who entrusted the task to the master builder Salvatore Trinchera; rearranged in the 1960s with the elimination of the third floor, it preserves some decorative elements of the original structure. The building is home to the Curia, the Diocesan Library and the Chapter and Diocesan archives.
In the Centro Historico we visited the palazzo. We took a short break in a café and let the beautiful square work on us. Then we visited the buildings around it, very nice
