Excellent selection of the finest ceramic artists in the area! I spent at least 2 hours inside combing through and deciding which pieces to ship home. The inside of the store has two places where you can see through the floor - one goes down to an ancient frantoio d'olio d'olive. And the other goes way down into the earth - almost like an earth vent. There are so many unique pieces and the owners know all the artists. They don't hover over you at all or push you to buy something. They will answer any questions about the pieces, artists, and the local area. They quickly arranged for shipping and even took us across the street to the restaurant to show us the continuation of the frantoio under the floor. Some of the ceramic pieces were in that restaurant and they looked fabulous. I recommend going to this store over other shops where you see ceramics in the window because they are better connected to the artists and offer great customer service.
Always well supplied, products of the highest quality and quality typical of the tradition of Grottaglie and the entire Salento. They are not limited to ceramics, but also offer objects of class and refinement, including fabrics and other processing techniques. Highly recommended for high quality gifts.
