Pizzo Sella Art VIllage was born in 2013. It is an operation to create and promote a phantom holiday village / amusement park on Pizzo Sella, a promontory overlooking the Gulf of Mondello (Pa). Over the years the place has become the protagonist of an endless legal dispute and a reason for heated discussions among the citizens of Palermo. It is located within the Monte Gallo nature reserve and has been included by Legambiente among the five worst Italian building abuses.
The goal of "Pizzo Sell Art Village" is to take charge, together with the city community, of the difficult legacy linked to the sack of Palermo, opening spaces for reflection on this theme and enhancing, at the same time, beauty and richness. of biodiversity and nature that represents Monte Gallo. Trying to stimulate, through art and culture, new narratives that help reshape the relationship between city and mountain and encourage the care and enhancement of the environment.
One of the most evocative places in Palermo. You must inquire well with the organizers before trying to reach it, write to them on fb and they will answer you very quickly.
