Reviews from visitors:
Beautiful place for art in centre of Prague.
A small but fancy museum. I went to the impressionists’ exhibition. The paintings were of high artistic quality and social popularity, with captions easy to understand.
The windows were closed especially to prevent sunlight and contribute to a constant surroundings of those paintings. Also the lightning setting is perfect for me to take photos with clear details seemingly impossible to get from such a distance.
The after interactive section was well designed; pity so few people came and the final result was not that perceivable.
Impressive palace in the very heart of Prague, but underused, as it currently only hosts temporary exhibitions of the National Gallery.
I visited the exhibition on French impressionists and I would recommend it for visit. Descriptions were interesting and thetr was a lot of beautiful paintings.
Selection of art for the Impressionists exhibition was sufficient to understand the movement for the non artsy person.
They had an interactive light and object section which helps to perceive the nature of the artist work and vision.
Waiting line was short.
Highly recommend, just make sure the current exhibition is suiting your taste
