Interesting
Lovely pastel shaded cottages. Cobbled street. Really nice to visit. The street gets its name from the goldsmiths that used to work here. Some cottages open to recreate how things used to be. Some cottages converted as shops. Its also worth visiting the armour exhibition, which is located on the second floor. Admission is included in the price for Prague Castle, but it is free entry for Golden Lane after 17.00. Well worth a visit.
I had the whole street to myself and probably for this reason I added 5 stars ;) but seriously, this place is a must visit! Prague is a great city and the Golden Lane is one of its gems. The street is like the Arabella TV series full of magic and atmosphere that makes you want to watch. Finally, don't forget the golden coin (the machine at the end of the alley).
Definitely do visit the arms and armour display. For me it was more impressive than the street with little houses itself.
Interesting place, with local handmade manufacturers, but unfortunately very high prices (compared to other handmade products I encountered in shops). There are some mini-museum buildings with old weaponry showcased as well. Note if you are there to just walk around without a combined ticket(including cathedral, etc visits), you are not allowed to get in the shopping street. This is the most stupid thing of the place, as there are no single shopping street tickets, only combined ones. Their prices are pretty high if you don't intend to check anything else. So if you are around to see the other sights, definitely pay a visit here as well, because later it won't be worth it.
