We could totally use more traditional art like this in the country!
This is a great opportunity to dive into the past, into the 20th century. Beautiful details are presented in the museum on two floors. My favourite part is the interior of Art Nouveau apartment - always beautiful details for different times of the year. And pretty ladies in beautiful dresses add to the whole museum their personal touch - as if visiting someone 100 years ago. Thank you for your warm welcome and for the informative and interesting time in the museum!
Nice art gallery exibiting not only paintings but sometimes also instalations and sculptures of best latvian modern artists and artists from abroad.

Very good place to spend your free time. Almost always interesting exibitions.Huge space. Available to purchace some unique souvenirs.
Even for not huge art lovers/connoisseurs very worth to visit .
Could spend 4h or 1h depending on your time/mood/interest. The ticket is very affordable for glance into fine paintings and the building itself (inside&out).
What a City, Brilliant loved everything about it.People so friendly and Great value for money. Hopefully revisit this year.

At first I thought I got to the wrong place but the front shop is really an art gallery and behind they have their tattoo and piercing shop. The lady at the desk was welcoming and I successfully discussed with her in English for my piercing. I did my second hole ear piercing in both sides and a helix/cartilage piercing. It costed 50€ in total, so 25€ for each service. And just for one hole ear piercing it was 15€.
Cool little gallery with some interesting Latvian contemporary art (at least when I visited). A/C was also a cool surprise for a hot summer day.
At 10 am on Saturdays opens a small, but sweet and cosy market in Riga. This place is perfect to spend some time by good weather - there is nice garden to sit and to enjoy foods and drinks. The market offers good variety of fruits and vegetables and some clothes and jewellery from Latvian designers.
Beautiful, friendly, inviting place - my imagination created lots of short movies in my head about the history of this building thanks so many details seen there. Everything is very clean and neatly decorated. Staff is very nice and friendly. Entrance price is ok too.
Until the end of September (2020) exhibition by Skuja Braden, a female artists tandem -- ceramics, installations, video. Most provocative show in recent times in Riga. Highly recommended!
I look around the market, and i think price of everything and stuff cheaper than the supermarket store.
