Reviews from visitors:
A tiny museum, located in a basement (no lift} , consisting of merely 3 rooms, featuring porcelain items from the late 1800's up to to day. There are collector, decorative, special occasion, limited edition and everyday pieces showcased in clean vitrines. Laminated catalogues, describing each object, are readily available for those who wish to know the designer/manufacturer, date produced, etc. Overall, a suitable option for a rainy or cold day in Riga.
The collection was a little disappointing for me personally since I am not that into hat stuff, but if that's your cup of tea then you'll like it. They did have a workshop where you could decorate your own vase and it is a really cool experience and also a great place to go to with kids. I went there with my niece and we had a lot of fun painting. It was nice, good, fantastic, lovely.
I enter because I buy the Riga card. So it's free entrance for Riga card holder. Really depend on personal interest. I am not very into Porcelain, so the collection not interesting for me. And they charger extra 1.5 Euro if you want to take picture. The museum not big, and the collection seems like collect from home wear shop. Not much interesting story.
Collection of porcelain of Riga manufactura
If you are from Riga, you will like it. It is only 20% from whole collection. Also you can pick a tray or cup for a painting.
