Reviews from visitors:
Until the end of September (2020) exhibition by Skuja Braden, a female artists tandem -- ceramics, installations, video. Most provocative show in recent times in Riga. Highly recommended!
Skuja Braden's Samsara might be this year's strongest art show yet. Lovely place, especially the changing exhibitions.
Very cool after this im going to go to mcdonalds bye
I got best impressions from textile works in this museum. Should feel guilty that can't even explain it, but artworks are magnificent.
Most of the exhibits are much more then decorative art. Curators made a great job
Stretching over 3 floors, the museum features an eclectic collection of items dating from 1970 to today, may it be furniture, decorative items, porcelain, wall rugs or abstract art. Each item is described, Latvian & English, on a leaflet hanging next to it. Cashier and Attendants on each floor could be more welcoming and hospitable, acting as Ambassadors of Latvian design. There are clean restroom facilities on the first floor. The museum is a good option on a rainy or cold day. Otherwise, it is not worth a detour.
