Reviews from visitors:
It's part of our history, preserved as a time capsule, and also a caml and quiet place for a coffer
If you want to learn about our presidents' history, this is a great place to visit! Actually, fun fact (or not really) one of our presidents shot himself here (the gun, the bullet, and the night gown he was wearing is on display - also his suicidal letter). If you want a great garden to sit, relax, read a book, this place is awesome! There is also a playground for kids (don't worry, if you don't like the noise the playground is on the rear end - you should be able to find a quiet spot). Restrooms available and the museum is paid, but the garden is free.
A stunning and breathtaking place to visit! A real glimpse into the many riches of Brazil. Aldo a great place to learn about Brazil's colonial times as well as when it became a Republic. Very well maintained and guarded. The guards all speak English. The adjoining park is very beautiful and a little oasis from the hustle and bustle of life in the big city of Rio de Janeiro. Definitely worth a visit. You will not be disappointed!
Like a mini Versailles. Each room serving a political or family function. It was free when I went. Staff was friendly and spoke some English. Spent about 30 minutes here.
A great escape into the glamorous past of Rio de Janeiro And it's political society.
