Reviews from visitors:
Im not an art buff by any means but it rained for 3/5 days we were in Rio so we needed to find something to do. The art museum was just that, very interesting to experience a different culture art form and the history behind it. Many interesting things to look and see if you cant take in the sights of the city. If you cant understand Portuguese you wont be able to immerse yourself as much.
Fun museum to visit. Some of the exhibits have a good deal of history in them which is very interesting. Do be aware that most of the signs are in Portuguese only.
There is a very nice view of Mauá square, unfortunately it is only open during the day, from 8am to 18pm.
You can also enjoy the restaurant there, that has a very good food.
It was fine. Different kind of art collections. Free on tuesdays otherwise it is 20 BRL. Nice view to the museum of tomorrow and the bridge. Tbh I went here only because it was next to the museum of tomorrow and had 30 min to spend. Didn't regret it.
Free on Tuesdays so very busy, and most of the signs in Portuguese. Great artwork and layout.
