Free entry. Architecture & curation both excellent. Book online during Covid.
Absolutely Horrific and a waste of time. We decided to travel to the Contemporary museum on a 30min bus journey. We arrived and what we saw was a absolute waste of time and blank space. The rooms were empty and the art was how do I say... appalling. Unless your interested in a pile of garbage this is not the exhibition for you. In addition, The exhibit rooms portly labelled with directions and descriptions of artworks making it feel like a maze to find rooms. Also, at some points we felt uncomfortable being constantly followed by the guards, guarding the ‘precious’ artworks.
Positive are that it was free and it had a nice cafe as well as a shop. Some exhibits also could be considered as slightly interactive with interesting /peculiar videos to watch.
Maybe we came at the wrong time of year but from my perspective the art exhibition did not fulfil our expectations. I strongly advise anyone who has considered to come to rethink their decisions on coming.
quiet times under coronavirus—the „editorial” exhibit is a collection of baffling spaces. minimal explanation heightens a sense of space as performance. precise inverse of eg vatican city tour de force of signage.
Something that is in total opossition to the rest of Rome with its magnificent ancient monuments and ruins. Fully recommended!
