If you like pottery or ceramics it is worth a visit. Very personal and friendly staff and artists.
Interesting to see artists at work in this nicely restored Seaboard Railways freight depot.
My 7 and 9 year old granddaughters attended the Morean’s 1st week of clay camp for 2020. Their words “ best camp ever”. They experience wheel throwing and hand building treasures that they showed off to the family on the last day of camp week. Attentive teachers and knowledgeable staff provided a safe feeling environment for our precious children in these worrisome times. Thank you Valerie Knaust and each of your caring teachers and helpers. The girls had a blast!
Tried to take senior pictures on their steps (Thought was an old train station) and the lady yelled at us and said learn some manners. Horrible person ruined a day that was supposed to be fun and nice for my senior pictures. To get talk about support local artist and they act like the local a**holes.
We make it a point to visit this wonderful artist workshop every year on our visit to Florida. The other favorite spot is the small cafe located on the same location. Wonderful sandwiches and soups. I would make the trip just for the food! If you can visit during one of the large clay firings when all of the outdoor kilns are fired all night and day by various artists working at the center. It's very informative and interesting to see the amount of work and knowledge involved in this.
