The staff was really friendly and great, I spoke to almost everyone working there that day!
Aside from the great customer service, the store has a wide selection of materials and is clean and well organized. It's a pleasure to shop there and browse through everything.
If you're an Artist thinking about applying to an Artists callings; read this first. Just participated in one of the latest shows at this gallery and it was a let down. You pay 35 dollars just for "submission" and the costs continue to add up after that. As artists you have the majority of the costs and responsibilities for having your work displayed. The cost for shipping in the same state of California is around 75 dollars and that's the cheapest I could find at slow ground shipping; because you must pay the "return labels". Cause god forgive if they have to pay for failing at their jobs at selling your art. *Which should be the actual priority to keep a steady supply of artist coming back. Its apparently not in this galleries best interests to sale your art work or to promote it in any capacity. If these people were interested in selling your art they wouldn't require you return shipping costs. They are already going into with the certainty it won't sale. Sales are important for any artists thinking about making art a serious profession. It's what keeps you motivated and funds you're art. Overall the exhibition ended and my work was shipped without an email or letter notifying me that my art work didn't sale. I didn't even get to know who won the Prize money. That's how lousy this gallery was! Who knows if they actually gave any of the artists that participated the prize money? Overall read my review and make you're mind, is it worth it going through months out of you're life holding your art work in a place that isn't in it to make you money or even promote your work? No one called me offering new opportunities as of result of me exhibiting here. It's not only an artist to promote him or herself. Galleries play a part in this as well, that is after-all why you participate in them in the first place. The reality is that my art work and effort never left my studio. That's what I'm conveying to you; how empty of an experience it was displaying at this gallery. Good-luck to all fellow artists that read this and keep on fighting for you're actual dreams.
I love being a part of the community at Art on 30th! Everyone here is kind and willing to share. And having a wonderful mentor, Kate Ashton, has helped my art career to bloom and thrive.
The instructor was wonderful Jessica Smith. She was very helpful. This is my second class and I will be back,
It was my 1st time visiting PWAT and I absolutely loved it. The service, ambiance and wine is amazing! Maureen was our instructor and honestly no one else is better suited to be an instructor than her. She was so helpful and energetic and made our experience amazing! Highly recommend!
