Very cool neighborhood. Visiting from the US this was a great area to spend half a day. We arrived in the morning and started walking. There are many places to grab a coffee and relax, plenty of lunch spots, and tons of art to see all around the neighborhood. We ended up purchased a small piece of art from a local shop and it was a great buy.
One of the most unique streets in the world, this avenue is decorated with thousands of murals (check out my video from yesterday for a walk through of the entire street). It all started with one artist painting a Batman symbol. To this day they are many comic inspired murals. The murals change often (about once a year) so each time you come you'll see a different view. Around the street you'll find more murals, trendy restaurants and shops. #vero #travel #art
It's no longer Batman's Alley but now a word-strewn blackened alley that pays homage to the passing of a prominent and renowned local artist in a brutal police shooting in Nov 2020. Somber, achingly emotional, bold, and so very important.
I spent over 10 minutes walking through the alley and it demanded a respectful silence from me. There's so much power behind those who wrote on the walls. I would have loved to see the art, but this was... Powerful. Rest in peace and BLM

Neat little alley of murals. The road gets a bit messy to walk in and enjoy when it rains though. I'd also be cautious coming here alone or during darker hours since it's an alley in a quieter area of town.
