Amazed to witness the beauty of this village.
Japan is really good at preserving the history and culture. In this village you can see old houses brought from various locations of Hokkaido.

Very beautiful open museum, with very well maintained and explained old houses and buildings. In the old newspaper building they even have real old printers used in the past including the molds used to make the main model. Same for other buildings like the sake brewery, farms, etc. Highly recommended to visit
Totally recommend going here. It’s a bit out-of-the-way from the main city, but it’s so interesting and fun to walk around

Quite a hidden place, the place is large and not much visitors.
Therefore the whole place can feel like a ghost town, not in a bad way as you feel like the whole town is yours to explore freely.
Staff were mostly elderly people who were friendly and take pride in showcasing their city's past.
The restaurant is reasonably priced and generous serving.
